This large and fully operational livestock and game abattoir provides an exciting opportunity to the market. The abattoir is advantageously located in Strydenburg in the Northern Cape. The site is accessed off the N12 Highway which strategically links routes to Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, Kimberly, Cape Town, and Gqeberha.
The abattoir has an impressive capacity of 100 cattle, 1000 sheep, and 700 game per day.

The abattoir has the following qualifying certificates; copies of same can be provided on demand:
1. Registration Certificate, with reference 7.4.1.5.1 and identification 9/044, in terms of section 8 of the Meat Safety Act, act 40 of 2000, that was issued on 31/03/2022 and expires on 31/03/2023, in terms of which 100 cattle, 1 000 sheep and 700 game can be slaughtered;
2. Halaal certification, with number H786/NR:19, for both cattle and sheep, issued on 01/03/2022 and expiring on 28/02/2023;
3. Certificate of Acceptability in terms of Regulation R.638 (3(5)(d)) of the Food, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, act 54 of 1972, with certificate number ST01/14/08/2018 issued on 16/09/2021;
4. Letter of Approval for a Facility as a Source of Hides and/or Skins for Export with golden status under number 15/11/3/3 – 9/44, issued on 10/11/2021 and expires on 10/11/2022;
5. Certificate of Achievement in compliance with SANS 10049 and ISO/TS 22002, with certificate number 2108-05-LFF-332 issued on 27/10/2021 and expires on 13/10/2022;
6. Certificate for the Dispensation: Indication of Age Class Ink Colour and Neck Instead of on the Left Hind Shank in compliance with the Directorate Food Safety and Quality Assurance, with reference number 13/2/1/23/1/2/Red Meat issued on 13/04/2022 and expires on 30/04/2023.
