This vacant site measuring ± 1 128 m² lies approximately 1 km from the beach and is situated in the small resort village known as Leisure Bay on the lower South Coast of KwaZulu Natal. Leisure Bay is situated between Port Edward and Glenmore and ± 26 Km South of Port Shepstone and 98 Km South of Durban. Leisure Bay is regarded as one of the many extensions of Port Edward including Glenmore, Munster and Palm Beach. Port Edward is a tourist resort for seasonal visitors from more affluent regions of South Africa. The coastline between here and Port Shepstone to the north is popularly known as the Hibiscus Coast because of its lush sub-tropical gardens. Port Edward is located approximately 1 and a half hours drive from Durban and some 15 minutes from Margate. The Wild Coast Sun Casino complex is situated approximately 10 minutes away, across the Umtamvuna River. Port Edward has a number of recreational facilities including water sports. Silver Beach, a protected swimming beach in Port Edward is 3km away.

There are many tourist seasons that influence Port Edward but the most significant is the Christmas / New Year period spanning from early December to mid-January. Port Edward's Silver Beach is popular with families. Another main season coincides with the Sardine run natural phenomenon usually occurring from late May to mid-July. Recently large retail franchises (Boxer Superstores, Shoprite Holdings) have shown interest in Port Edward. With the local economy growing, the town is set for a bright future.
