In2assets will be auctioning three portions of a productive timber farm near Donnybrook on 22 June 2022. The live, as well as online, sale will be held at Mount Edgecombe Country Club. 

The land, with a total extent of 584ha, is comprised of three portions and will be offered as follows:

Lot A has a total extent of 113ha, of which 93ha is permitted for timber. Currently, 63ha are planted to eucalyptus of the GXN, Dunnii and Smithi variety, aged between 4 months and 5 years. There are 24ha planted with 7-year-old pine.

Lot B is comprised of two portions. The first measures 323ha, with 230ha permitted for timber, and is planted with eucalyptus, predominantly the GXN variety, aged between 1 month and 5 years. There is also pine, mostly of the Patula and Elliotti varieties, aged between 3 and 8 years.

The second has a total extent of 147ha with 50ha permitted for timber. It is planted to 41ha of young eucalyptus, mostly GXN.

Donnybrook is a farming town in the Harry Gwala District Municipality. It is located between Underberg and Ixopo which provide all the basic amenities while Pietermaritzburg is the closest major metro. The greater area enjoys an estimated average annual rainfall of 650mm. 

Timber licenses and water licenses are in place. There are no improvements on the property and no movable assets are included in the sale.
