ECDC Residential Property Portfolio to Hit Auction Block in East London
In2assets, a leading property auction company in South Africa, has announced that it will be auctioning a portfolio of residential properties on behalf of the Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) on the 3rd of October 2023 in East London. The portfolio consists of 25 properties located in various areas of the Eastern Cape, such as Phakamisa, Butterworth and Mthatha. The properties range from smaller to midrange residential homes and offer potential buyers an opportunity to invest in the region’s property market.
The ECDC is a state-owned entity that promotes socio-economic development and investment in the Eastern Cape through various initiatives and programmes. The ECDC has appointed In2assets as its sole auctioneer to dispose of its surplus residential properties in order to generate revenue and reduce maintenance costs. The auction will be 11h00 on the 3rd of October conducted at the Country Club in East London, but livestreamed with the opportunity to bid online.
According to Rainer Stenzhorn, the marketing director of In2assets, the auction will attract a wide range of buyers, from first-time homeowners to seasoned investors. “The properties on offer are well-located, well-maintained, and well-priced. They present a rare opportunity for buyers to acquire quality residential properties in the Eastern Cape at competitive prices. We expect a strong demand and a high turnout for this auction, due to the last successful ECDC auction sale in 2022 where all listed properties sold at the fall of the hammer,” he said.
Stenzhorn added that In2assets has a proven track record of delivering successful auctions for the ECDC and other public sector clients such as Telkom. “We have a sound relationship with the ECDC and we are proud to be their preferred auction partner. We have extensive experience and expertise in marketing and selling public sector properties across the country. In2assets has a large database of qualified buyers and we use innovative technology and platforms to ensure a smooth and transparent auction process,” he said.
Interested buyers can view the full details and photos of the properties on the In2assets website or contact In2assets at 0861 444 769 or info@in2assets.com for more information. Bidders are required to register online or on-site before the auction and pay a refundable deposit of R25,000. The terms and conditions of the auction are also available on the website.
