This farm is comprised of 3 adjoining portions with a combined extent of ± 683 Hectares. Located alongside the Tugela River, the farm provides an excellent opportunity for crop farmers with interests in sugar cane as well as fruits and nut farming with an additional attraction of potentially running livestock on the parts of the farm not suitable for potential irrigated cropping.
The extent of the potential land for cropping with irrigation is ± 247ha. The remaining ± 436ha provides an excellent opportunity to run livestock.
The surrounding area is predominantly comprised of sugar cane farms. Water and Irrigation Rights for usage out of the Tugela River are in place but will need to be transferred. The portions of the farm are not subject to Land Claims (23 May 2019). The area normally receives ±1000mm of rain per year, with most rainfall occurring during mid-summer.
The farm is situated close to the towns of Mandeni and Sundumbili. Mandeni (also Mandini) is a town in Ilembe District Municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. The town is some 22 km north-east of Stanger. The town has four shopping centres, namely; Mandeni shopping centre, Sundumbili plaza, Gcaleka Shopping centre (also known as KwaGcaleka) and seven townships. The town has many factories and attracts workers from afar. The biggest employer is Sappi, the largest paper manufacturer in South Africa.
The Tugela River flows through Mandeni and the mouth of the river is 10 km from the town center. Mandeni is located 22 km from Stanger and 96 km from Durban.
