The Resort offers visitors quality fishing across all facets. The mighty Umzimvubu River constantly yields quality catches. Whether you are fishing from the river bank or from light fiberglass boats, bait casting, live baiting, art lure or fly fishing, this stretch of river and estuary beholds many fishermen. The abundance of bait fish brings the large pelagic fish up river to feast. Common catches include, Garrick, King and Queen Fish and Grunter. The famous Zambezi Shark (freshwater tolerant) is a regular visitor to the River Mouth and Estuary.

Pubs and hotels in the town are littered with photographs of truly amazing rock and surf catches. The usual reef fish are abundant from most points along the coast line.
